  • Annual grading upholds a high standard in the motor body repair industry;
  • SAMBRA constantly explores ways to assist members through Enterprise Development;
  • SAMBRA has developed a Financial Benchmarking Tool, a very valuable addition to our services rendered, which will assist members to run their businesses more efficiently;
  • SAMBRA conducts an annual Insurer Survey, which prompts insurers to improve their service delivery to our members and therefore, adds value for the member;
  • SAMBRA looks after long-term, sustainable artisan skills development through supporting programmes like the “School to Work” initiative at the Dr. Böhmer School in Bloemfontein and the FCCC (First Car Care College) in Cape Town;
  • SAMBRA continues to contribute to the development of the VDQ (Vehicle Damage Quantifier) qualification. Qualified Assessors and Estimators will ensure fair estimations for our members. The establishment of the VDQGB (Governing Body) - of which SAMBRA is a part, will further ensure that fair business practices prevail;
  • SAMBRA strives to standardise insurer SLAs (Service Level Agreements) in order to ensure that they are mutually beneficial
  • The establishment of Advisory Committees with insurers affords SAMBRA the opportunity to be proactive in our dealings with insurers. New initiatives and current challenges are workshopped in order to find a better dispensation for our members;
  • The DTI/MBR/Insurer Forum meetings resumed, where agreements - including the regulation of our Industry - were made between the MBR Industry stakeholders and SAIA (South African Insurance Association). Committees were established to further explore an Industry Generic Standard, as well as Enterprise Development possibilities.  SAMBRA serves on these committees.
