To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with the knowledge, skill and ability required.
Minimum requirements
• Qualification in Spray Painting. (valid certificate required)
• Ability to read and carry out assigned task.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own transport.
Essential duties (include but not limited to)
• Responsible for the spraypainting of vehicles
• Colour match paint according to specifications
• Apply primer, base coat & clear coat to factory standard
• Ensure a high quality of workmanship at all times
• Report any quality deviations to the department Foreman
• Daily housekeeping done in work area
• Maintain and wear all required health and safety PPE
• Assists other personnel in preparing of vehicles
• Assist with apprentice training when required
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Other tasks assigned
Experience
• 3-5 years proven experience (noted in CV)
• Experience working with water-borne paint
• Have strong problem-solving skills
