The RMI has entered into a joint venture training agreement with the Order of Saint John (St John) to provide Fire-fighting and Evacuation, First Aid Level-1, First Aid Level-2 courses to RMI members.
The proposed points system is very similar to what is already used in several European countries. Essentially, points are added onto motorists’ licences if they commit a road offence. Once the motorist has reached a certain number of points, the licence can be suspended and if the motorist continues to commit offences, the licence can be taken away.
SAMBRA members in Cape Town are urged to serve as host employers for a number of Spray Painting and MBR learners from False Bay College. The Spray Painting graduates are currently available for placement, while the MBR learners will become available for apprenticeships in March.
