Requirements
- MERSETA Automotive Body Repairer Qualification
- Ability to read a job card
- Good Communication Skills
- Self-motivated with leadership qualities
- Driver’s license
- Own transport
Essential Duties
To perform the listed job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Repairs damages on vehicles according to job card and manufacturer specifications
- Replaces panels/parts as per job card
- Able to use smart technology in the repair process eg: Celette bench, dent pulling equipment etc
- Reports any deviations to the department Foreman
- Ability to apply common sense in carrying out daily tasks
- Maintains tools and ensures equipment is kept clean
- Housekeeping is done daily in the work area
- Maintains and wears all required health and safety PPE
- Assists other personnel in the stripping and assembling of vehicles when required
- Assist with the mentoring of apprentices
- Other tasks as assigned
Experience
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Qualified Automotive Body Repair
- Experience working with smart technology equipment
