A SAMBRA-Accredited repairer is seeking a vehicle damage estimator to join their team.
Job Description
At Denys Edwardes, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to excellence by assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and ensuring a seamless repair process. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the collision repair process, outstanding customer service skills, and a desire to make a positive impact.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Own transport
- Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the repair process,
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, insurance companies and
- team members through effective communication,
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage to determine the necessary repair cost,
- Evaluate the cost between repair or replace of damaged parts,
- Negotiate best practice quantum with work providers,
- Maintain customer satisfaction scores according to company standards.
Experience
- Experience in the motor body repair industry: minimum 5 years
- Process authorisations, supplementaries and final costings
- Understanding of basic financial principles
- Knowledge of the repair and painting process
- Strong organisational skills, able to multi-task and is self-motivated
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy
- Audatex and Abuntex networking platform
- Team Management System
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Communication
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
- Ability to communicate in Xhosa would be beneficial.
