As we move through the middle of 2026, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: our industry is evolving at a rapid pace. From the growing complexity of the South African vehicle parc and advances in repair technology to the critical need for skills development and workplace readiness, change is no longer something on the horizon – it is happening now.
This edition highlights many of the initiatives underway across SAMBRA to help members navigate this changing environment. From the development of the SAMBRA Distributed Apprenticeship Framework and our inaugural Junior Skills Competition in the Eastern Cape, to important discussions around compliance, training and emerging vehicle technologies, we remain focused on creating practical solutions that support member businesses today while preparing for the future.
As we celebrate Youth Month, we also shine a spotlight on the next generation of industry leaders. Their passion, innovation and commitment remind us that the future of our sector is in capable hands. At the same time, their success reinforces the importance of mentorship, knowledge transfer and creating opportunities for young people to build rewarding careers within the motor body repair industry.
Thank you for your continued support, participation and commitment to excellence. SAMBRA’s strength lies in its members, and together we will continue to build a professional, sustainable and future-ready industry.
