A SAMBRA-accredited motor body repairer in Mahikeng, North West is seeking a Qualified Panel Beater / Artisan to join its workshop team.
The ideal candidate must have provable Trade Test Certification, strong references, and experience in both structural and non-structural repairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing work efficiently while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- South African citizen
- Minimum 5 years’ post-trade test experience
- Major structural repair experience, including stripping and assembling
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and able to work according to job cards
- Good problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Own hand tools required
- Own transport and valid driver’s licence required
- Willing to work overtime when needed
- Matric / High School qualification
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out major structural and non-structural repairs using various repair methods, equipment and machinery
- Straighten vehicle chassis, undercarriage and body panels
- Complete welding, brazing, cutting, grinding and body filler work
- Load and use vehicle straightening systems such as Car-O-Liner, jig systems or similar
- Work efficiently without supervision and take initiative where required
- Complete all work within stipulated deadlines and to a high-quality standard
- Maintain a safe and clean workshop environment
- Follow company health and safety regulations
