The associations, SAMBRA and CRA, recently engaged with Santam regarding Santam’s proposed new parts markup structure, which seeks to cap parts markup earnings at a maximum of R 5000 on a part exceeding a net price of R 20 000. Under this model, a repairer with a negotiated 25% parts markup would only receive the full percentage up to this limit of R 20 000.
