Over the past few months, SAMBRA has been speaking to members about the growing importance of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance.
We are now seeing this pressure increase, with more Department of Employment and Labour inspections taking place and insurers placing greater emphasis on OHS compliance within their networks.
In direct response, the SAMBRA NEC has commissioned a dedicated OHS support project for members.
What participating members receive
Participating SAMBRA members will receive:
- A comprehensive OHS Compliance File to support the implementation and management of their workshop OHS requirements; and
- Unlimited online compliance training for employees for a fixed three-month period, at no additional cost to participating members.
The training includes key compliance areas such as SHE induction, ergonomic regulations, basic firefighting and First Aid renewals.
This is another important practical benefit secured by SAMBRA, helping members reduce compliance risk, prepare for regulatory inspections and meet the growing expectations of insurers and other industry stakeholders.
How to access the support
The OHS files have already been distributed to the regions and SAMBRA Area Representatives are now delivering them directly to members.
Please note that files are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Members are therefore encouraged to engage with their Area Representative as soon as possible.
This project is another practical example of SAMBRA using the strength of the Association to provide solutions that would otherwise carry significant cost and administrative burden for individual businesses.
